Hi, My washing machine is leaking and best I can tell it is coming from what is a very gunked up powder/softner drawer. I know it is possible to remove and clean this drawer, however I do not have the instruction manual so do not know how to do it. I have been told by someone in a shop, that there should be a small plastic button somewhere about the drawer which will release it. I have been unable to find any such button. I have also tried to look for the ‘product code’ on the back of the machine, but can only find the model number, power information and a group of barcoded stickers. The machine is an Indesit WN 1063 WG. Any info on the drawer or ‘product code’ would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi, as far as I can remember there is no release button to press. Just open the drawer to its full extent then hold it firmly both sides and pull.

    Cheers

    Thanks Martin.

That did the trick! I was afraid to force it too much for fear of breaking it. Now all I need to do is clear out the years of accumalated gunk, which, considering its just washing powder and fabric softner, is surprisingly stinky!!! 😯
