    Hi
The washing machine listed a whrilpool type, seems to be very noisy in it’s fast spin,
the washing cycle sounds normal, if I try and move the drum up and down it feels solid, turning by hand the drum and motor sound to like other washing machines.

I just wonder if any of you in the repair trade have come across this , with a whrilpool
washer, I did wonder if it maybe caused by the drain pump being noisy, like limescaled up etc?

the machine will have a pump only programme. if you select this and it makes the noise then its the pump

if its the drum its either 1) bearings or 2) concrete weight loose or 3) shock absorbers problems

    Hi Dave,
Thank you for your reply, did try just running drain pump, no nasty noise, so thats ok
I think it’s more like the concrete weights may be loose, I have had to put it back in it’s built in area, so will get it out again soon and check the weights

    Thanks

    Hi
Have had a look at the washer, and it turns out to be the back bearing of the drum,
this looks abit of a pig to replace, is this a difficult job?

    Thanks
