ParticipantHi all
I am posting in the hope that someone can give me some guidance on my error code issue. I have searched the forums to no avail so a post is warranted. I can’t believe no-one has had this issue before me but hey-ho.
I have an ISE5 1600 rpm 2100W
NN1647 CV4
Ser. No. 0061680800053005000ZA couple of weeks ago it started to give the error code E01 at the start of a washing cycle. It would begin the programme by running the drain pump for a few seconds then pause and throw up the code. If you opened and closed the door (forcefully) a couple of times the wash cycle would begin. After a quick search on the forums and a read of the user guide I concluded that it must be the door interlock which I have ordered and replaced.
This is where my problems begin. Despite the new door interlock the error code continues to be displayed at the start of the programme :bang:. As before, a couple of slams of the door will start the wash cycle. I am now at a bit of a loss as to what else could be wrong so I am reaching out to the wider community 🙂
Any help, ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Marra

This is/was not an uncommon fault, sometimes the door hinge becomes a little strained with use and prevents the interlock from activating.
I have managed to cure this in the past by very carefully prising the door to the right at the door hinge side. You do have to take extreme care to protect the plastic door when doing this though, it only needs the slightest fraction of movement to get the lock to work again.

Thank you for your swift reply, apologies for my late response. 😯
Amazingly this, the cheapest of fixes (even cheaper than the £7 door interlock) has seemingly cured the error code and the machine works every time.
Unbelievable. 😀
Thank you once again sir you are the font of all knowledge.  -
