ParticipantSeems common as muck this ‘no heat malarky’. Suspect the thermostat, or heating element, although the water/washer gets hot when washing…
As it’s integrated, I was hoping there would be some suggestions/service manuals floating around, to peruse prior to pulling the unit out.
Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions?

On the heater box on top of the drum there is an overheat safety thermostat. Most likely the button on it has popped and it just needs pressing to reset. (Usually occurs when someone turns the dryer off before it has completed its full cycle) 😕

Thanks, will have a look – saw similar on Youtube, but figured it would be sods law my W/D didn’t have this.
Such a pain with it being integrated, that we’ll have to pull it out to get at it 🙁
Any ideas, would I go from the top, or from behind as it were – ooo errr…. I’m talking in terms of removing the panel for access.
Also, FWIW, we did a 90 degree wash earlier and it got warm, so I suppose that means the heating element is ok? My lack of knowledge and inability to google, suggests that the heating element may not even be involved in the drying aspect though!

Scary prospect in store for you then. Starting with getting it out and removing the lid, tricky but easy goes it. Do be sure to isolate from the mains before twiddling (they don’t tell you that bit on YouTube)

Will spend all holiday looking forward to this prospect upon our return. How wonderful.
Do they still publish/are there any Service Manuals available? I suspect material like this wasn’t freely available, but anything for the WKD28350 (or similar) would at least let me ‘plan ahead’.
Any tips for getting a washer out without ruining the floor? Always seems to be a nightmare!!

Service Manual?…..no chance, we don’t even have them in the trade!
Tips on extracting without damaging floor?…….bits of wood and/or old carpet under the feet as you drag it out. (Remembering firstly to lower the adjustable locking feet of course).
Everything else is like a stroll in the park. 😉

Thanks Martin, appreciate it!
Should I find it’s not this pesky/hard to reach reset button, what other parts could I be looking to poke?
Heating filament? What – £150?
Thermostat? £50?(Please note, I’m in IT, not Appliances so these could be well off…)

Well if the heating element (part no. 00659231) were to be found faulty then they cost £102.59 direct from the Bosch web site. The reset stat (00619335) is £20.82.
If you did indeed terminate a drying cycle before it finished then pressing that reset button will be the cure all solution. Provided of course you don’t interrupt the cycle again. If it failed otherwise then such a simple resolve would not be possible. But let’s cross that bridge when we reach it. 😉

There’s one thing I can guarantee, and that is that it was not me that did terminate a cycle, IF that is what has happened 🙂
I’m not a user of such an appliance 🙂

All we men know is where to throw our dirty laundry before it reappears a day or two later back in the wardrobe. I’m willing to bet, like me, you also have no idea where the iron is kept, nor willing to find out either? 😀

Back in the wardrobe? Sounds like you got a good one! Mine ends up in a pile that then needs to be ironed – which I’m actually pretty good at :)!
Anyway, just replying to thank you. Returned from holiday, unplugged the w/d and pulled the unit clear, took the top off and found the ‘trip switch’ had popped. At least I presume it’s a trip switch, and had popped – it felt popped when I pushed it.

Either way, when trying to dry it now works, so I assumed whatever I fondled, fixed it 🙂

Me again… 🙂
So, this has happened about 5/6 times now since the initial post. Each time, results in me lugging out the integrated appliance, undoing the top and resetting the “thing”.
We seem to have narrowed it down to Intensive Dry Cycle and/or the Wash & Dry cycle (which she seems to think uses Intensive Dry).
Any ideas why this specific cycle is causing a trip?
I’m toying with drilling a hole in the top of the washer and modifying the trip button so I can “easily” reset it. Seems a retarded solution though, but then, that’s me 😉

Nuisance tripping of this frequency isn’t good. Clearly it is suffering an airflow problem. This time your gonna have to get more hands on by stripping and cleaning the dryer condenser (the large clear plastic contraption on the RHSide) Fluff clogged especially near the bottom hose entering the drum. Likewise lift the fan motor out and clear the fluff build-up from the fan blades.
Also the red button TOC had best be replaced as that too has worn and is now more susceptible to premature tripping. Simply replacing it is no cure so don’t be tempted to overlook the main issue. Clothes drying overall is compromised and their fibres damaged by poor air circulation and overheating.
Have fun! 😀

Thanks again Martin, when you say red button TOC, is that this part “The reset stat (00619335)” you mentioned previously?
Why is it such a fiddle job? So you pay the engineer £100 each time?
