Hi,
We have an LG D1484 true steam dishwasher which served us well in the last 2 years.
2 days ago AE code appeared on the display. This means that the leak/flood sensor has been triggered, which is a very handy feature that stops the flat to be flooded.
I have pulled out the machine and took all the panels off to look for obvious sources of the leak.
There was quite a lot of water in the base tray/frame. When that was drained machine worked fine again until the next cycle when the fault repeats.
I have not seen any real obvious signs of leaking. I could see only one rubber hose with a little bit of scale around the clamp. This is attached to the sump from the front, adjusted it but the fault remained.
Looking at the structure of the machine, it looks like that the whole cabinet needs to be lifted off the bottom frame to get access to the sump, where I think the solution will lie.
This might/might not be out of my DIY capabilities.
Has anyone dealt with similar machines, with similar symptoms?
I am willing to take on the challenge of trying to fix it, but not at all cost. If special tools or knowledge required to go further I will call the experts.
This model is closely related to the LG D1454.
All comments and help are appreciated.
