ParticipantI have an issue with the upper spray arm not rotating on this recent Bosch SMS dishwasher, due to the upper basket feed tube uncoupling in use from the nozzles at the back, resulting in loss of spray pressure to the upper arm.
This was raised in the public forum 15 months ago and nomadPaul advised:
“There is a rear rail modification where a rail is fitted to the rear of the appliance which stops the rear wall from flexing , therefore ensuring a good connection between the top basket and rear connector.”
Does anyone have any further details, eg part no, etc, or any other experience of solving this issue?
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Do you mean that the rear tube bracket has broken away from the rear wall? i.e the weld has broken ? There is a repair kit to fix this if that’s the case which involves a new bracket and nut/bolt fixing where you need to drill a small hole through the rear wall to fix it .

The kit is part no. 00628611. If you PM me your email address I can send you the .pdf mod instructions.

Thanks both for your helpful replies. No, I’m pretty sure the rear tube bracket is secured to the back of the dishwasher.
The problem is that when the water pump starts, a gap opens up between the “female” nozzles at the back of the dishwasher and the “male” nozzles at the back of the basket, causing loss of pressure to the upper arm. nomadPaul’s earlier post suggesting that the rear wall of the dishwasher was flexing outwards in use sounded plausible. The rear wall is certainly much more flexible than the previous (decent quality) generation of Bosch dishwashers.
I also noticed both the rear pipe and the spray arm assembly have been superseded (by part nos 11003121 and 11003121), and wondered if the parts been modified to improve the coupling.

For the record, I replaced both plastic parts with the superseded parts and the problem is resolved. The rear bracket of the horizontal tube had warped slightly, effectively shortening it. The new rising tube has also been modified with bigger internal diameter to the nozzles.
