    Hello

    Model: RangeMaster SXS Black
    Serial no: 7912001790
    Made in China

I have an issue with the above model relating to maintaining temperature in the fridge side. The freezer compartment is working normally.

The fridge side of the unit has started making a low buzzing noise and for a day or so it fluctuated between two temperature ranges, 5 degrees C to 20 decrees C. It has now settled on 20 degrees C and has been like this for a few days.

Appreciate details are scant but I would appreciate any insight into this issue. I called out a Rangemaster engineer a couple of weeks previously for a problem affecting the fridge side of the unit because water was pooling in the bottom of the unit. He resolved the problem then (replaced the water feed line) but I do wonder if he inadvertently caused another whilst he was applying the fix….probably not but I don’t want to spend another £200 just for a call out.

    Any help appreciated

    Matt

    Hi

I doubt very much if the repair that was to the water pipework caused this. The easiest way to start is to defrost the whole unit for a min of 24hrs with both the doors open and switched off at the plug. Then restart and if it works and goes down to the correct temp great but if it stops cooling correctly normally after a few days then it’s pointing towards the defrost cycle and or fan.
