ParticipantCan anyone tell me the correct reset steps for this late model machine please ?
Changed worn brushes and cant get the 21 code to clear. Thought it would be the same as the touch sensitive button models but it wont play ball. Mind you, some of those models took several tries before they would reset too. Needless pain in the ar$e design 🙁Eddie.

It should still be the same ‘6 o’clock rock’ procedure. Have you tried the ‘disconnecting the motor’ trick as well before kicking the cat?

Thanks for the reply. Yep, tried all that Martin, motor unplugged, door open, doing a handstand 😕
Must have tried around 20 times to reset the bloody thing. Customer even tried calling the BSH ‘helpline’ number to see if a tech guy would at least speak to me but they were not interested in divulging any info.
Had to leave it like that. Think they’re going to find out if they bought it from John Lewis as they suspect they did, might be under their 5 year guarantee . Bloody embarrassing !

I had a Bosch machine recently which had a different reset procedure to the standard 6 o’clock setting. Sorry can’t recall the model.
As I recall it was turn dial to 11 o’clock position (effectively 1 click anti-clockwise but turned it clockwise to that position) then I think it was hold start button for 5 seconds then switch off. Did the trick for me. Was first time I’d had to do anything other than 6 o’clock reset.
Hope that helps.

Thats interesting Graham, I’ll phone the customer or maybe pop back armed with that info.
Thanks for the reply.

Try this one. Hold the start button , turn selector switch one click anti-clockwise and release start button.

Sorry for late reply on this one but the customer went off on holiday. They came back to find a message left by me telling them to try the last procedure from nomadPaul and it worked fine. 🙂 Couldn’t have been more timely for them with their bags full of skanky holiday clothes so they were most grateful !
Thanks to all who responded 🙂
