ParticipantHello,
I would really appreciate the advice from somebody in the know. I have the above washing machine, which has started a knocking noise during it spin cycle, this only really happens when the spin is at its fastest.
I am led to believe this is the bearings. The machine is a few years old. I have already ordered the bearing and seal kit (I am a confident DIY’er).
I have been left with the impression however that the drum maybe welded, does anybody know if this is the case? If so, I wont be able too open too replace bearings.
I was left with this impression as I read it is easier (but more expensive) to replace drum, as oppose to knocking out (and knocking in) the bearings. Whilst looking at new drums they all said “welded drum”. Is this just after market parts or are the original manufacturer parts for this model also welded?
I intend to start this job Saturday 01/10/16. So any definite advice before hand would be very appreciated.

Are you sure of that model number as nothing comes up for it at all, even on Beko’s tech system?

Absolutely certain. I have no problem finding results in google for it.

If your machine actually has a welded tub like THIS then you will not be able to change the bearings at all.
A simple job to find out, pop the lid off and look to see if your outer drum is like the one in that link or has a drum that is in two halves, secured by lots of screws all the way round.
You can change the bearings in that type but TBH if the inner drum shaft is damaged which is very likely then a complete drum assembly change is by far the best option. If you can actually acquire one for that price it would be the most sensible way to proceed.
