    Hi

Using liquid detergents not carrying out hot washes and not doing service washes will cause this issue.

Fairly common problem in flats more than houses. Not necessarily the actual washing machine but the waste down pipe/ or under the sink washing machine outlet nozzle area. As the machine pumps out the h2o compresses the air which tends to either come out ponging out of the top of a stand pipe or out of the sink o/flow or plug hole. Whatever it is it`s usually a sulpherized waste food smell.
