HOOVER DYN 8144DB

can anyone give some advise on the above machine please,

just coming up for 3yrs old but still have time left on extended warranty, drum bearing has gone, was wandering if this can be done under warranty or is this seen as a wear & tear part, have changed bearing and spider some years back on an older machi ne but unsure if this model has it sealed in, was going to give it a go if not covered under warranty, any advice would be greatly appreciated,
