how about 2 things
1 put the Enr number in the request so we know which neff unit you mean
2 a picture with an arrow if possible pointing to the piece you need to remove

I normally use my long nose pliers opened out and apply very gentle pressure until it starts to unscrew.

oh i see what you mean now
part unlocks by turning anti clockwise so i use 3 screwdrivers
place 2 through 2 opposite hole ( not too deep. then holding the ends of the drivers with one hand use the third one as a lever to turn the unit to unlock it. dont just force it but gently apply pressure on and off till it gives
its a bit of a juggling act but had done it a few times. have attached a graphic to give you the idea but its upside down so you just use it as a guide
thanks to qualtex for the pic
hope it helps

Here’s the official service manual version of how to do……
(Not got the ‘special tool’ huh?….. Then taper nose pliers will do 😉 )November 8, 2016 at 10:10 am #442542electrofix

The special tool fits 3 separate nuts within the dishwasher. Its used to release the nut as shown in electrofix diagram by firing within the 6 triangular holes . It also fits the salt pot sealing nut and the small vent nut on the lower left hand side within the tub. Unfortunately, I don’t know the part number off the top of my head but I will try and find it.

Edit to my previous post, the part number has changed to 00342189, but to save you time looking it up, it is NLA. 🙁
Ah well, taper nose pliers it is then. 😆
