    what’s the procedure to get the thermostat housing cover off this model please, is there a screw behind the grey arrow or does it just push forward – don’t want to force anything due to age of appliance, might not be able to get spare?

    Tease the gray arrow out with a sharp blade, then remove the single screw underneath. The housing may slide forwards or clip off depending on the variant
