I fixed this machine today 😀 It was dead, the lights came on but no-one was home. Took the lid off and gave the module a kicking…nothing 🙁 Then gave the control panel a smacking hit the start button and it burst into life 😀

Went about my way fixing another machine in this vast utility room, when I noticed the dryer had stopped, gave it a thump, hit the start button and it reset itself back onto a full cotton setting, maximum time. :con:

10 mins later, did it again, 15 mins after that it finished drying the load perfectly. So my question to all you Bosch techno-whizz kids is?????….Is it the £122 Module thats playing silly bu**ers or what? or should I sell this very rich lady a new machine??? FD number by the way is 8006 so its only 4+ years old….very sad!

Have you tried it on a timed program?.

If so does it work ok?.

Had a similar problem a few months back.Cuts out after a few minutes use on sensor program, but works fine on 30 min timed prog.

Turned out to be worn carbon pick up on rear bearing part no. 154177.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Martin
Try removing fascia, and switch cleaning selector contacts.
Possible condenstation egressing upwards by faulty front bearing seal.

Also check lens cover is in place on lamp, otherwise lots of moisture in control module.
