Hi all,
Over the last few months we’ve seen 20-30 of these Beko w/m dc modules failing.
Symptons we’ve seen can be – no motor action, machine aborting program and blowing the trip on final spin. Diagnostics tend to show E11 motor open circuit or E18 o/o/b.
There seems to be no pattern as to which models suffer from this.
A few have had motors, modules and dc module replacements but have failed again within 3 weeks. A few we have tried just dc module replacements and seem ok for now but some go again on first cycle when loaded.
All are meggered as a whole machine and individually at components but with 0 earth leakage.
There seems to be no bulletins on manusoft regarding this issue either.
My question is, does anyone have a definitive answer to why they keep failing (other than they’re sh*t)?
Would much appreciated your input
Dan
Motors on the DC range blow on ramping up if there is a heavy load in drum, if the motor draws high current the DC blows a track in p.c.b, , like yourself sometimes we get away with putting in a DC module, other times its a motor, have also had to fit main board as well as DC module, motor.
Brushless ones are similar, sometimes its motor, sometimes inductor, sometimes main board, or a selection of the above..
I was beginning to realise that these were a no-no cash repair – how could you guarantee that the customer wasnt going to overload it again. My experience is with the brushless motor and I suspect most of the problem is the motor. Another call-out machine.
