This old workhorse has served me well, and is in part thanks to these forums a few years ago ?
Anyway, I put on a wash the other day and almost as soon as it had half filled with water, it went completely dead.
I removed my washing and figured I would wait until black friday and source a new machine. But a few days later, out of curiosity I thought I would pull it out and see if something silly had happened like a blown fuse. But I hit the power button and it is suddenly working again?
I’m obviously reluctant to use it in case it konks out part way through a wash. But figured perhaps it might actually be an easy fix after all? Any advice much appreciated. Cheers

I decided to try a couple of small items in it last night (wall socket is fine) and what happens is, it runs for maybe 10 minutes, then dies again. Then simply refuses to switch on.
If it follows form, it will turn on again in a day or so. My limited knowledge says it could be capacitor related?

Possible a timer or heater related fault you can check heater with both a multimeter and a megga heater should read about 28ohms and pass over at least 5 mohms for the megga. You will be hard pushed to get a replacement for such a small machine, hope this helps you kai

Looks like you are right about it being heater related. Not had a chance to check it with a meter, but the machine will happily rinse, spin etc, but switches off if you start a wash.
Just not sure why it takes around 3 days before it will power on again?
