Hello, I have the above mentioned machine, and when selecting program 8 which we use most often (according to the manual, that is a wash cycle at 30 deg, rinse cycles, and a delicate spin cycle), it starts by filling water, and I can hear it running through the detergent dispenser fine. But then after about 5 seconds, it stops. Still making a noise very similar the one it does when it starts spinning slowly – the waste hose moves like a heart beat -, only it does not spin at all and the selector keeps turning. I’ve checked the drain pump, it is fine. The water arrives as other programs seem to start. For instance, when trying program 7, which according to the manual is exactly the same as 8, only the wash is at 40 deg, the machine starts the cycles normally. But it never stops!

If the control knob starts to turn round after setting a cycle then it has gone into error mode.
When the knob is clicking round the doorlock or mains light will flash a set number of times and then pause and repeat. You need to count the number of flashes and report back. Unless it flashes 8 times, if it does that you would be better looking for a new machine. 🙁Re: Indesit W123 – Program 8 stops shortly after start

Buy a new machine, fault on main circuit board much to expensive on this machine. 🙁
