ParticipantAny help would be useful.
Washing cycle works perfectly – fault only occurs on the drying cycle.
Original fault was a random F18 fault which appeared to be an outlet pump fault – I suspect that the pump was failing and ‘dead spotting’ when it got hot with the many stop / start operations of the drying cycle.
Changed pump and F18 has gone away.
Customer reports that dryer then successfully did several cycles with no problems.
Now (a few days later) the dryer cycle is causing problems once again. This time no fault codes.
When you set the dryer going the machine runs for around 5 mins before the program appears to stall. The fan switches off, the machine falls silent and after 2 mins the door lock releases.
All the while the start / pause red LED remains solid red (ie not flashing). At that point none of the buttons work and the machine can only be reset by switching the main dial back to zero (off) position.
Ideas?
Cheers,

Tested inlet valve when we first had the F18 fault and it was fine.

If this is the model with the consensor on the left hand side then i would be checking the consensor for blockages. It may well be going into an overheat state. If you can get into the test program , you might find F:08 stored in there.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I’m going to get it booked in again for next week and give it a good going over.
I suspect a blockage of some sort. Someone else mentioned a similar problem on another website.
Have a great weekend,

Main PCB on the fascia? The electronics on these machines is not what you expect from Bosch. Losing neutral for the dryer within the PCB is/was a favourite.

For the few minutes that the dryer does run, it does start to get warm.
I have it booked in for tomorrow afternoon. Should be fun!
