Can you please help with this enquiry : have just changed the heater
element and carried out a general service on my oldish dryer, which
has been trouble free for a good few years. I noticed that the old dryer element has the two thermostats both with the same part No. However do these thermostats provide both over temperature & cyclic operations. Noticed the new element has a Red & Green coding & finally what are the temperature parameters purely from an interest point.regards,

The two stats are not the same, one is the cycling (temp control) stat, the other is the TOC or thermal cut out safety stat which is a ‘one shot’ device.
This dryer is subject to the major fire safety recall, has it been done?
