Dishwasher was working when there was a power cut. When it came on again, the unit carried on through it’s cycle, but didn’t empty completely. When the door was opened, the two lights on the right hand side were lit, then went off immediately.
We have drained all the water from the bottom of the unit, and cleaned the filter.
Now, it won’t switch on at all. No lights on the panel.
I have checked the electricity supply, plug fuse etc, even run another lead to the unit.
I took the control panel off the door, and there are no loose wires, and everything is clean and dry.
There are 2 switches on the panel LHS, one on and one off. These click when you press them. If I connect a meter across the on wires, or off wires, there is no reading with the unit un plugged..
    Any ideas please

As I said the control panel wiring is good.
I took off the outer door cover completely, to find the plastic sleeve covering the harness across the hinge had broken.
The sharp edges had worn through the insulation on 2 of the blue mains leads. One had broken in 2 and the other was on the way.I assume the power surge with the mains coming back on suddenly was the final nail in the coffin.
There are a couple of other gasket related items to sort as well.
