ParticipantHi there,
I am having a problem with my integrated Firenzi DW930/1 dishwasher. It will start as normal and then begin beeping continuously after 5-10 mins of operation. When i open the door the right hand light flashes 4 times, pauses, 4 times and so on. There is no water logging issues. Water enters the machine at the start and the water is drained out when I open the machine when it beeps.
Since the machine is out of production, I can’t find a manual. I hope you can help.
Thanks
Ananth

it looks like the machine may be made by whirlpool if so Fault 4 is a drain problem
since you say all the water is draining, Remove the lower basket and filter. in the sump on the right hand side you will see a small black grill ( about 1.5 inches). look at it carefully and see if it looks blocked. if yes carefully clear it taking care not to push anything too far inside it as it has a rubber diaphragm that can get damaged

thanks dave, I couldn’t look in (no space), so I felt around and found a grill on the right hand side. Moving my hand over it, I didn’t feel anything stuck to the grill. Is it removable? Should I try and look for a way to take it out and inspect it?
I did fill up the sump with water and it’s still there. But the machine is off, so not sure if that’s why it didn’t drain out.
Any other thoughts for me to check in the machine?
Appreciate the help.

After running empty dishwasher tests with just one bowl facing upwards, i found that there is no water coming into the dishwasher. I tested the water switch on/off and same results both ways. The dishwasher doesn’t seem to be trying to pull any water in – usually there’s noise in the hose, now none. From reading online, it’s water inlet valve or float switch – where are these two and how do I test each?
Any thoughts appreciated.
ThanksAnanth

it wont pull in water if it thinks it is full already. have another look at that grill. it does not come off but can get clogged. use a mirror and as torch if necessary

Dave,
great call. It was clogged and disgusting. Despite spending hours with mirror and torch, it didn’t get better. So opened up the base of the machine, removed the water pump, removed the mesh grille and cleaned out the clog that had gotten in, preventing the water level switch from moving.
SOLVED! 5 hr marathon as I had to look up numerous youtube videos to find out which piece of the machine and how to remove it. But done.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
