    I have a question I hope someone can help with. My dryer has started to give problems. Sometimes the drum spins, other times it does not when the door is closed and dryer switched on.

    I removed top lid, and found that on the occasions when it does not spin, that it will start fine if the drum is given a small helping hand to start it off. Funny thing is the belt does seem tight enough. On occasions when it decides not to spin, I can hear a whirring noise from the motor but the shaft does not move.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.
