had a look at this sps53e18gb01 dishwasher looks like its leaking from the Alternative Water Distributor, bit hard to see but sure its dripping from there, anyone had this?

I have had only one but a more common leak is the sump/tub seal especially at the rear where the distributor is. If thats the case it will need a new plastic sump which comes with a new seal…

Just received a sump repair seal that should solve the problem part no 12005744 fits from inside machine by removing the 4 screws,dropping the sump and pushing the seal into the gap. I should be fitting this on Saturday so will let you know if it works

Ok…just be careful how you screw it back up…the new sumps have an instruction leaflet detailing the order on which you do them…can’t honestly remember which order but I think it may be the front two first?

Actually the other way Clive. In order, it’s back left back right front right front left…..being careful not to overtighten. In all honesty , I’ve fitted quite a few of the sump repair seals….With varying success !!!

I should remember the order really…but then age takes it’s toll :snig:
The sump is quite a cheap part and I’m sure they distort causing the leak…they can’t be that rigid if it’s important to screw the screws up in a particular order?
