    Hi, I have a Zanussi washer dryer, it about 6/7 years old:

    Mod: zwd14270W1
    Prod no. 914604029.00

    I switched it on this morning and it has a constant beeping noise. I have switched it off from the mains and switched it back on but it continues with this noise. On the digital screen it has a small image of a lock, so i had the lock replaced in the door but this did not resolve the problem. If any would advise what the beeping noise is referring to that would be great. There is no error code displaying either.

    does the beeping noise start as soon as you switch on or as you try to start a programme ?

    Hi Dave,

    when I turn the switch to a programme its beeps really loud and continuous and it does not respond to anything.

    It seems you have activated the child lock. Press and hold both the options button and extra rinse button in together until the padlock symbol disappears from the screen it should then work
