    Good afternoon gents,

    Has anyone here been involved with the trial of D&G’s new cloud based call management system?

    Just wondering if this has been working for you or not?
    I’ve got a training session on Monday. I sure have reservations about the calls being pre-booked.

    Any thoughts will be gratefully received.

    pre booked calls don’t work for those of us that do work for many manufacturers and WP’s

    They didn’t mention anything about prebooking calls to me, just that the jobs would be sent through the portal and we would have to contact the customer.

    We’re using it and my thoughts are that the tier system of repairers will not come into play anymore as the operators in the call centre will just look for the quickest appointment to keep the customer happy and as such work will drop off and go to second / third tier repairer as they will have free slots say for same / next day once yours are full.
    I’ve been told this is not the case but we do get chased for repairs in our post codes which we haven’t been to and “nobody knows how this has happened” so we’ll see. But if anything work has increased a little so maybe I’m just paranoid!

    My issue Is we sometimes don’t confirm cam runs until the day before ,plus we don’t work set postcodes on set days.

    Thanks for your replies gents. I feel this is going backwards in terms of technology use aswell. I’ve trolled through the App Store but can find no mobile version of the portal which means going back to printing individual jobs or duplicating each D&G job and then adding them to our cloud system to then sync with engineers iPads.
    I guess first time fix rate will tumble as a large number of their jobs are for things like door seals,handles and interior fridge parts which usually can be pre-ordered when we take the calls. I also wonder how many job notes will be already on the job i.e. – avoid 8am to 9am, 10-11 and afternoon school run making each call harder to attend.
    We’ll see how it pans out when we go live but I see trouble ahead!

    More crap from the men in suits who think they can come up with all their new fangle dangle ideas “if the system they have been using for thousands of years aint broke then dont change it ” wonder if they pay in the some mode “l doubt it……

    This is exactly what is happening to us all the time ,and the system is so user unfriendly it has to be seen to be believed.
    Anyone else getting jobs on email that are not on skyline

    I cant help but think this is a step backwards

    Hi all,

    I’ve been on since February, it’s a pain to use but I have muddled through, although since beginning of April I’ve not had many jobs through probably due to lack of available slots, kept mine low so not to over promise myself, seems I’ve have missed out on a lot of work!

    Anyone else had work drop off?
