    Hi there..

I’m the lucky and proud owner of a Samsung RS21(fasm) fridge freezer, witch is causing me a hole lot of trouble.

And i’m looking for some advice. I have searched the treads in here, but cannot find anything similar, so i’m hoping for help.

The main problem is rising temperature in the fridge, due to ice build up, mainly in the top part of the evaporator. The fan in the evaporator cover does not get blocked, but the vent hole in the cover does.

The evaporator cover is the type with the metal plate, and the evaporator heater is the type with the metal clip.
So as far as that goes, i’m pretty sure that the evaporator upgrate kit would help me solve the problem

But what i don’t understand is this..

After i have defrostet the evaporator, and the cover with a hairdryer, the fridge starts cooling again, and everything seems ok. It quite fast reaches the fridge temperature setting, with is 3 degrees celsius. But after two or three days, the temperature raises in the fridge again, but this does NOT show on the display reading. The display remains on 3 degrees for the fridge and -18 degrees for the freezer. All i have to do now, is unplug the power to the fridge, and plug it back in so both fridge and freezer restarts.
When the power is back on, the temperature in both fridge and freezer is to high, but within half an hour, the temperature is back to normal again.

Do i have two problems here, or is both problems caused by the evaporator parts?

    Hope for help.

    Best regards
    Lars

Hi Bryan, and thank you for your answer.

Can they cause the problem with temperature raising, without showing it on the display?

And is it normal that the fridge starts cooling again after the power have been swithed off and on again..?

I was worried that i had a problem with a controller unit or something that would force me to buy a new fridge:)

But this sounds like defrost sensor and thermal fuse you think..?
