    Hi,
I think I already know the answer to this but I was hoping somebody could confirm it for me. Today I have been out to a LG condesner dryer and the original fault was that it wasn’t turning but buzzing. Lovely, a new capacitor!!
Ive been out to it today and when I tested it, it turned without clothes in but would stop if I placed my hand on the drum. So I swapped the starter (capacitor), but it made no difference. It would still just about start but turn really slowly and a slight burning smell.

I’ve not seen more than a couple of these machines over the years so i’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure that its the motor, it has to be but I was just hoping somebody could confirm it and that there isn’t a speed control or that the PCB controls the speed.

Is the motor easy enough to swap?

Any help as usual is always appreciated.

    Cheers
    Nick

I have had this problem quite a few years back and it was the motor that caused this problem, it got very hot in the first 5 min of operation.

    bob.
