Got to do a belt change on a Creda 37275.
Its a 3 kg dryer with the flap down door circa 1975. The sides and top are one piece and it looks like it has to come off to get to anything. Can anybody remember doing one of these and have any pointers.
    Thank you.

    back off

can remember 2 screws each side think there are screws left and right of door some hidden by rubbers

then wrapper just lifts off. from memory hold it at the rear and lift it then use your other hand to tease it out both sides

quite simple when you have done one

Even easier when you have done lots of them, doesn’t even have the sneaky screw behind the control knob. 🙂

Blooming heck. All the oldies are out now it’s like moths round a light, better not mention a problem i’m having with a Hotpoint Empress. 😆 :waving:

Got a Flatley airer circa late 50’s coming in today. The old dear of 90 will not even entertain the thought of a tumble dryer. This must be worse than a Hotpoint tumble dryer if one piece of clothing falls in it’s going to go up in flames.

For you youngsters who don’t know what one of these is I have attached a couple of photos. The image with the hose and bucket is one we repaired here about seven or eight years ago!!

Nice bit of kit. I’ve not seen a Flatley before, but i’m a mere baby at 43. It makes the hotpoint dryer recall look over the top.

I think it would make a great retro BBQ. Love it :fire:
