    Hoover VHC381 runs for 5 minutes then stops, goes into reverse and overheats. Once cooled down it repeats this cycle until the end of the programme.

    Heater has been replaced as has the pcb and the condenser. The selector switch has also been renewed.

    Front ntc been changed ? There is a ntc inside aswell so would be drum job, is there water going into container?

    Checked the ntc’s, they’re ok. I’m looking at this after there have been 4 engineer visits. On the strip down it looks like an engineer has broken the bracket for the capacitor, because it’s held on by numerous cable ties.

    Check the pump the pipe that connects to it can block with fluff as it has a small plastic nozzle thing inside grey hose, other than that it’s a airflow issue
