    Hi – I have an Indesit dif04 that is filling with water when not on a wash cycle.

    I’ve checked and cleaned the filters and have heard the water drain away when the dishwasher is and isn’t on a cycle.

    I turned of the water to the water inlet supply and no water is now coming into the dishwasher. I’m thinking there could be a problem with the inlet valve being faulty/blocked or the anti flood mechanism not working frequently enough?

    Any help appreciated.

    If water is coming into the machine when it is turned off the water valve is probably leaking in very slowly so needs changing. You have already proved that by turning off the water tap and it stopped. Dave

    Thanks for the reply Dave. I will have a look at the valve tonight when I get home.

    Having a ‘look’ at it will not show anything, basically a sealed unit.

    Part number is C00258669, around a tenner. 😉
