Have a ZDF501 dishwasher. Any idea where the thermostat/high limit thermostat is located on this machine? Was told that it is behind the dispenser. BUT took cover off front door but think the electrics there link to the dispenser draw opening during the cycle. Is the thermostat near the sump instead? Know on more modern machines you can access from below the base plate but not with the ZDF I fear. Cheers

Which is accessed from the underside, the panel removes.

what do you mean by high limit thermostat ?
what is the dishwasher doing wrong ?
if its not heating then yes it may well be the heater ( as Kwatt says) as it has safety stats that blow if it gets too hot to stop overheating and fires

Dishwasher completes full cycle but no hot water.
First step I thought would be:
1. Hoping was a separate thermostat that might be a `cheap fix` but wasn`t sure of location.
2. If the thermostat and heater all in 1 unit then will look at as Kwatt suggested.Annoyingly might start to get towards a cost of another 2nd hand dishwasher but presume that is always an issue when trying to repair appliances

you need to find the heater. disconnect wires,
then with a multimeter on low ohms scale test it. you should get under 100 ohms.
if yes its not the heater if no change it . its important to check the heater from the terminals where the wires plug inDave
