ParticipantHi all, first time posting here, my problem is with a Zanussi Lindo300 8k condenser tumble dryer
Mod: ZDC8202P
Product: 917097379|00I have been having this problem for some time now and I am guessing it is the motor struggling to turn the drum, on occasions it starts and runs fine for a while, then when it switches cycles it will struggle to start turning the drum again.
I have opened up the side and taken a short video of what is happening and it will hopefully give you guys a bit more information on what exactly is causing the problem. At a glance everything looks new inside..
not sure why but i couldn’t get the video to work, so I have uploaded it to YouTube
Thanks for taking the time to read

Probably the motor capacitor is faulty.
Does it struggle to turn when there is a bigger load in it? Try it empty and see if it seems to work fine.
If the above is the case then it will be the capacitor.

If it were me, I would be checking the capacitors and if they are reading correctly then I’d be replacing the motor.

Ok thank you :). From a complete novices point of view, how would I go about testing the capacitors?

You would need a meter with a capacitance test facility unfortunately.

ahh ok, I can get hold of one of those during the week, I will test the capacitor and go from there. If it is the capacitor then happy days I shall get a replacement but if it is in fact the motor then ill probably look at getting a new dryer.
Thanks a lot for all your help
