Absolutely gutted but I have a feeling I will have to do so. Have had this machine for 10 years and its never me given any problems. When I bought it the dealer showed me, two models. One he said was a bells and whistles one made in Spain, the other a basic one made in Germany.Although the latter was more expensive he reckoned it would give me many years trouble free service, which has proven to be the case. Unfortunately, today was a day of mishaps because I had ordered a tumble dryer which I wanted to site next to the washer. As space is tight I decided to move the washer about 6″ to one side.
The washer is both heavy and awkward so much so that in the toing and froing two of the adjustable feet dropped out.One was quite easy to relocate but the other was not so because the underside plate got bent slightly in the corner. No amount of tapping with a hammer was going straighten it sufficiently so much so the screw in the foot has gone in at an angle.I have a feeling that is not going to prove satisfactory particularly during a spin cycle. I thought of-of buttressing the corner with a piece of wood but I reckon it would have to be a very exact size otherwise, I am going to lose my level.Any suggestions? How critically important is it for the machine to be level

As long as the thread of the welded nut that forms part of the subframe (the bit the foot screws into) is OK then re-aligning it not too difficult. You just need to purchase a longer bolt from an ironmongers with the same thread to use as a ‘tommy bar’ type tool to straighten its position and the enable reinstalling the adjustable foot.
