My LG American fridge freezer has started adjusting the freezer temperature setting on its own! The most annoying thing is the bleep every time it does it. I can cope with it doing it but I would love to be able to switch the bleep off!

It sounds like the fault is the display buttons sticking.

How do you get the panel off?

On your model just check to see if there are any visible screws underneath by the water/ice dispenser outlet.

If there are it would be no more than two Phillips type screws.

    If there are remove them.

The display just levers off carefully with a screwdriver starting at the bottom.

If no screws are visible then it just levers off.

Make sure you turn the power off at the mains before removing the display.

The display just clips back on you may have to bang it back on
with the palm of you hand near the edges.

Be careful as some of the spares for your model are now obsolete.

    Thanks for this Bob.
I think I am being too careful! There aren’t any screws, but there are a couple of screwdriver shaped slots in the bottom of the panel. I have tried levering from the slots and from the corners but it isn’t showing any sign of coming off!

You just have to lever it off once it comes uncliped near the screwdriver slots it starts to get easier to unclip.
