Bosch WVD2452SGB – Washer/Dryer – Dispenser to drum pipe

Hi All,

Was in the kitchen and noticed this machine had started pooling water on refill. So quickly turned off and drained machine. Disconnected everything, took the lid off for a closer look and found that the soap dispenser to drum pipe had become disconnected at the drum end.

After tipping machine on side, I can clearly see (photo attached) that pipe has come away from drum. What surprises me is there doesn’t seem to be any metal clamp on this connection to secure it. I know other Bosch models use this method to attach, but not this one?. All there is the pipe, and inside that pipe a white round looking spacer (just found out the proper name – holder p/no 00067719) which looked like it had moved up the pipe.

Can anyone please explain how I reattach this pipe safely and securely – don’t want it falling off again on an aggressive 1200 spin cycle. Also where should this white round spacer sit – does it sit inside the pipe at the connection end? I’d usually expect to attach pipe and then tighten the clamp, but there is no lip on the drum to clamp to, and the pipe appears to seat itself inside the drum with the rubber ridge. Doesn’t sound too secure to me, but I cannot see from the pipe any evidence that a metal clamp was present, and there’s nothing fallen to the bottom of the machine.
