Last week the washing machine (Hoover DYN 8164 D) tripped the mains electric. Once I’d reset the fuse box the washing machine had power but the door lock wouldn’t engage and wouldn’t start any cycle.
I replaced the interlock but this didn’t solve the issue.
Could it be that the electrics inside the washer are damaged and if so is there a way I can fix this myself?
Thanks for any info.

Certainly you will need to check if the electronic programme circuit board has been damaged (it sounds as though it has). Then locate the component that caused it to blow ( i.e. Motor, Heater, Pump etc).
Good luck but be safe and unplug from the mains first 🙂
I wouldn’t have thought it would have damaged the main pcb but anything is possible I would check motor 1st this is related to the door lock not activating kai
