I have a Bosch WFL2060GB washer that will fill but then stalls and does not progress to the next step in the wash cycle. I can hear relays clicking intermittently but the machine does not progress. I suspected the heater element but having checked the impedance it reads 25 ohms so seems OK.

Another symptom is that if I allow the machine to fill and ‘stall’, then put onto rinse or drain the drain pump runs continuously and the machine does not stop (in the case of drain) and does not progress to spin (in the case of spin).

Is there another sensor (such as temperature?) that jf failed, can allow the machine to fill but not progress beyond that?

Could it still be the heater element at fault despite the in-spec resistance reading?

sounds like a motor brush problem

It should tumble at that point so I suggest you check the motor for worn out carbon brushes.

Thank you Martin and Dave. Have checked the brushes and, indeed, they are down to the last 8mm or so. Obviously cannot be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure until new brushes fitted but as machine seems OK in every other respect, I’m confident of a positive outcome.

Thanks again. Would never have thought of that myself as the source of the problem.
