    Hi There

Having had an immaculate ff written off by an engineer I was relieved to discover the offending sensor was available (thanks Dave). I was able to connect it to the board via a 2 core flex and have the appliance working again by putting the sensor in the freezer compartment, the cable coming around the side of the appliance and closing the door on it. So I have finally proven the offending item having changed all the obvious options first to no avail. The actual location of the broken sensor cannot be found despite having a small dig in the back of the foam below the board.

Please can anyone help me with this.. it would be a real shame to have to scrap it.

The sensor is buried in the insulation so you kinda just have to position it inside I think, ask Dave for the info sheet on it. It’s not the best but kinda makes sense.

Many thanks. Dave sent the sheet, but it assumes the sensor is in the freezer, that would be too easy.

Yes that might be best, cut a slot in the foam and bury it in there before putting new insulation over the top. C

Is there any way of contacting the manufacturer and asking them?

Good luck with that, the parts diagrams don’t show where they are and I doubt you’d get to anyone that would know.
