ParticipantI bought a new integrated dishwasher from Argos (Bush DWINT125W) and installed it as indicated. I turned it on but didn’t realise that the draining tap on the u bend under the sink had a plug in it (new house, first dishwasher).
The cycle went ahead as normal but the machine flooded and didn’t drain. I removed the water manually and then, realising what the problem was, removed the blue plug from the plumbing under the sink.
I turned on the machine and it beeped for a while and the eco button flashes non stop. The machine started to make a noise when I closed the door as if it was trying to do something. The error code continued to flash.
I tried pushing various buttons and combinations of buttons for various lengths of time but the machine won’t reset.
I have filled the machine with water again and indeed when the machine is turned on it drains it perfectly but the error light still happens. The machine won’t work with this error light in place.
It appears to me that the machine recognises a drainage problem, warns me and attempts to drain the machine. The machine now drains perfectly but the error code persists.
There is no leakage, the pipes are all unkinked and as should be.
My instinct is that it needs a hard reboot or something like that.
Argos can send an engineer but with my work I can’t book days off and I won’t be off until June, and I feel it is only a problem of resetting the machine, no need for an engineer maybe.
Any thoughts on this?
The manual states that this error code indicates drainage problem and recommends checking the pipes for kinks.
Thanks in advance

does the manual tell you what this fault code means ?
have you tried tilting the dishwasher back? pull the unit out tilt it back slowly. what I am looking for is water coming out from the base of the machine and you don’t want to do this quickly in case it get somewhere it should not be
what I am hoping is the machine has flooded into the base and tripped the overflow sensor. if you remove the water it will resetDave
