    Hi to everyone! Here is hoping someone has had this problem before.

    I have just replaced the drum seal on my washing machine but on switching it on again I am getting a few issues. Firstly, when selecting a program, the rinse light is on and the 60 minute light as well. The machine sounds like it is selecting the program but nothing else works – the start button does not press. The door light is
    showing the door is not locked (it isn’t) and as it cycles through the program select, the 30 and 60 minutes lights are on as well as the rinse light. Have I knocked something… is the seal too big to allow the door to lock…. is the door lock solenoid knackered…??

    Any help would be much appreciated!

    Does the machine actually start a program? As we need to start with the door lock to make sure that’s working 1st then we can move on to the 30min and rinse lights kai

    Hi Kai

    Many thanks for your reply but I eventually figured it out. I went back into the machine and found that I had reattached the strip lead to the control panel the wrong way round (note to self… take photos of dissassembly!) I put it all back and a 11 year old machine has new life.
