Hi guys. Not sure if I am in the correct area but I have a microwave question.
I have a 3 year old Panasonic microwave that works perfectly apart from the fact that the interior light has stopped working.It was purchased from John Lewis and is out of its 2 year guarantee. Why don’t they make the interior bulbs more accessible?
I obviously cannot just replace the bulb. So, it’s either arrange a call out at vast expense or scrap a perfectly functioning microwave (apart from the light) after such a short period of time.
How much would a call out cost and is it possible to change the bulb? The unit looks hermetically sealed !! The microwave cost me £140 3 years ago.

unit is not sealed and case comes off to get access to the works
you have to beware as microwaves have high voltages that can kill. and it can be present for a while after the unit is turned off
since your in Liverpool and so am I you can bring it into me and we can sort it. so no call out
