CDA Inbuilt Microwave CM5
Hi,
I have an inbuilt CDA microwave that I would like to remove out of my Kitchen.
I’m genrally pretty handy with DIY, but this has stumpted me. There are only x2 screws that can be removed (star type), these do not seem to do anything. There is a bit of movement up and down but it still won’t slide out.
Any help apprecieted.
My guess is that there are a couple of screws underneath. Once removed the stainless fascia panel can be pulled forward slightly then lifted clear to reveal the wood screws holding the unit to the carcass. Just a guess mind 😉
Unfortunately there are no screws underneath, there are no obvious screws apart from the star screws just inside the door(See photo).
Nothing obvious that allows you to remove the chrome trim.
Look along the bottom slots carefully with a torch, about halfway along you will hopefully find an allen screw to remove, once removed you will need to tug the microwave forward in order to remove it from the rear mounting bracket.
This is all sorted now Thanks very much for the help.
There is a screw at the bottom of the front just inside the door. The screw head had broken off, so it was just a matter of turning the rod with a pair of long nosed pliers.
