Hi, I have a Hotpoint integrated fridge freezer (frost Free) HM315FF. Basically the fridge keeps frosting up and freezing the food. The hotpoint engineer came around and suggested replacing the control board. This was done and made no difference. He now says the unit cannot fixed and needs to be replaced. The unit is one month over 5 years old and in excellent condition so I would like to try something else first. Does anyone have any ideas to help. Thx in advance. Steve

It’ll be a thermistor then most probably not sending the correct reading the board.
Trouble is, I can’t see the thermistor as a spare part so it’s probably foamed in and non-replaceable.

Hi K,
Is there any way to confirm it’s the thermistor by checking connections on the control Board with a circuit meter? AndCan you buy an after market thermistor and fit it or is the fridge a write off.

If we had access to the tech info, maybe. But we don’t so we can’t.
If ti’s foamed in, depending where it is, it may not be possible to replace it. But again, with out access to the tech info…
