Had to offer my excuses this morning to a new customer for not being able to call and fix her machine 🙁 .

    Not that I couldn’t, but simply that I wouldn’t 😯

She rang to say that the door was broken on her 5 year old Creda w/machine and reckon’d that the reason it wouldn’t work was due to the fact the door wasn’t engaging properly.

I explained that I didn’t carry new doors on the van and whilst my first visit would be chargeable, I may need to order the relevant parts and return a 2nd time? I then enquired why had the door broken? And the reply was something like this : –

“My husband kicked in the door one night when it wouldn’t work. He has a violent temper and often smashes things when they don’t work. I thought that when he was out of the house I would get it fixed by some-one? I’m really desperate to get it done, both me and my daughter are on anti-depressants because of my husbands violent out-bursts! I can pay ya whatever it costs, ‘cos you do take a Visa card don’t ya? He won’t be home ’til after six tonight so can you come round today?”

My reply : “Sorry love, any other time I could, but I’m allergic to violent husbands and Creda machines just bring me out in a nasty rash anyway…best try somewhere else to get it sorted eh?”
