ParticipantHi, have a Liebherr Sbnes 3210 with biofresh ontop of freezer. Over a period of time it was making lots of noise then one day the biofresh unit temperature increased and alarm went off. Figured out that freezer had lots of ice build up. Turned off power, removed freezer back cover and defrosted freezer and unblocked drain. Turned power back on. All seems ok and quiet. However, biofresh digital control seems to be stuck on 2 degrees celcius. Ive left the door open but the temperature on the digital control remains at 2. Ive tried moving the control up to B9, it flashes but then reverts to 2 and remains at 2. Ive turned the biofresh unit off and let it sit for a couple of hours. When I turn it back on the control shows a higher temperature eg 10, then slowly works itself back down to 2 as the unit gets colder. I guess the unit works, but I just cant get it to shift from 2 degrees. Any ideas? thanks!

Hello, did you carry out a total defrost of the freezer? Is the drain completely clear?
b9 would be the warmest setting for the Bio Fresh compartment, as opposed to conventional thinking, where the higher the number, the lower the temperature.
I’d try the unit on a lower setting and see where it gets to. The Bio Fresh compartment should work between 0 and 2c.May 27, 2017 at 3:20 am #447746stancton

Hello Eldar59, and thankyou for responding it’s very much appreciated.
Yes, I conducted a full defrost of the freezer and left it turned off for more than 24 hours. I also cleared the drain which was clogged with ice. I inserted a wire and could see it come through the bin at the back of the freezer. (that was before I read the manual and now know not to use a wire). All seems good except I’m not sure about the Biofresh.
I’ve tested the Biofresh as you suggested. At B1, B2, B3 and B4 I’m getting 0c. At B5 and B6 I’m getting 1c. At B7 to B9 I’m getting 2c. From what you’re saying I seem to be understanding the temperature range in the Biofresh is normally between 0c to 2c Hence all is ok? 🙂
Wish the manual was a little clearer on this…May 27, 2017 at 7:07 am #447747ELDAR59
