LG introduced this system on their 11kg washing machines in 2009. As far as I know all their washers 11kg and above use this system. I’ve seen a fair few over the years. Just the usual drain pump failures, etc, no tub repairs yet.
The cantilever suspension system seems to play havoc with the out of balance control system, which coupled with the large drum size, leaves some customers unhappy with spinning performance. This is despite the drum reportedly having loose balls built into the front and back walls which roll round to supposedly help counterbalance the load.

Any problems with leaks from the back. customer says it leaks at the back left hand side but not all the time. have not stripped it cause its a heck of a job was wondering if the rear boot/gasket may have gone. If leak was in the middle the float would put it in fault mode
This one had pump failure. used a Qualtex pattern but pump goes in too far and catches. will now order gen pump but don’t want to order pump until we can figure out the leakDave

The side panels can be removed on these Dave have had a coin through the outer tub on 1 of these but it was hard to find as the sides have sound dampening which can absorb some of the water they are a nightmare to work on no room whatsoever Kai

I’ve seen a leak from the steam generator heater flange – tightened the nut to solve.

leak was a hole in the outer drum at the rear leaft hand side about 8 0 clock position
assume it may have been a coin
melted it closed with a soldering iron. will see how it goes from there
was an absolute pig to get at
