I’m trying to work out why my freezer has stopped being cold and slowly started to thaw out most of the freezer contents. The evaporator looks clear of ice, the fan is blowing so I don’t thing it’s stuck in defrost mode, the condenser is running, the condenser fan is also running and the radiator is fluff free. Most of the videos I’m seeing online just show a blocked up evaporator or the condenser relay been broken not allowing the condenser to start. Mine doesn’t seem to have any of these issues and I’m just wondering what else it could be or if it just needs re-gassing. When I powered it on for a few minutes one of the condenser pipes is warmer but not hot and the other pipe is cool but not freezing cold and I’m wondering if it should be colder or i’ve just left it running long enough? Any one got any other ideas of what I can look for? I’m currently just leaving it unplugged in case something else has hot blocked up with ice but if anyone’s got any ideas in case that doesn’t do it they’d be appreciated.
