Hi. My diplomat adp8322 d/w stopped working without warning. Got an engineer out who looked at d/w and told my wife that it needed a new washer motor and that it would be cheaper to buy a new machine. Unfortunately I was at work and not able to speak with him. On investigating further myself the d/w is showing a code 7 on the led’s. I have checked for blockages and found that there are none visible. Water flowing to d/w ok and filters clear. After looking on forum I have checked flow meter reed switch which appears to open and close (using a multimeter and magnet). The flow wheel seems to rotate ok. Can’t test the flow pc board which forum suggested as a possible fault. Other option sems to be water valve, although water getting through. The engineer who looked at it initially didn’t pull d/w out of housing and only removed lower front metal casing section. Then told my wife about the need to replace the motor and left with a call-out charge in his pocket. Nowhere have I seen any mention of the need for a motor on an F7 fault. I don’t want to replace the motor un-necessarily. The d/w looks in generally good condition and should be fixable at a reasonablely economic cost if I can be guided to the correct fix. Help and advice would be gratefully received.
common fault on these units is broken wires in the door
remove lower door panel and there is a plastic guide containing the wires. carefully open it and check wires. beware as a lot of the wires are the same colour so if more than 1 has broken you need to be certain where it connect to
the wires break at the bottom of the door as it goes underneath
