I have been only working on these dishwashers lately, mainly jammed Recirculation pump, I have taken the pumps out and removed any blockage via the small entry to pump blades…I was wondering If I was to take the complete plastic type top lid off, to get better access would it reseal easily, or would it cause more problems than its worth… thanks John

have done it on commercial dishwashers and had no problems. you will probably find Miele will supply the seal if needed
my view is normally if I can get it all out within 10 mins then take it apart. After all its the customers fault its happened so if you have to replace part because of their negligence so be it

the older types with screw on covers seal fine, the heatpump version might be more risky. More of an issue on the heatpumps is the 2 hoses that feed the arms have rubber/silicon ends on them that go rotten and although they might be fine before hand, once these are prized off to remove the pump you may find they leak afterwards. As the top one is £120 odd and the shorter one £50 its worth informing the customer first that this could be the outcome otherwise you might find yourself footing the bill.
