Hello,
So glad to accidentally found your site! I need help for the above appliances, a build in oven that will get used about once a week and if, a fully integrated dishwasher 45 cm for a family of 4, a gas cooktop with 4 or 5 hobs ( we only need 4 but the 5th wok hob looks really nice) and a suspended cylindric hood for it.
I was looking at Bosch and Miele, leaning towards Bosch because of the big price difference but after reading a lot of your posts about rebadging I got kind of scared that in fact the price difference will cost me much more as I would be buying smth worth nothing labeled as Bosch. In some posts you say you like Bosch and Neff, in others you say is a gamble. How can I understand which product and which model is an original? All things considered from a manufacturers point of view like market share, shareholder investment returns and price points quality is not the same as it was. Yes it can be a gamble on which branding to choose. It’s well known that quality is not the same as it used to be but it’s the same in a other sectors as well.
Taken what you have said Bosch, Neff and Siemens group (BSH) is still a good bet considering what other brands there are.
Looking at your list the only query so far I have is you are a family of four but you are looking at a slimline dishwasher. Is there room for a full size machine?

As you suspected, the size of the room is the reason I am looking at slimsized. If I could fit a normal 60 there would be no question, I would take the Miele as they have more reasonable priced dishwasher for integrated full size, reasonable by Miele standards and knowing you are taking the best there is. Their slimsized price is a little ouch. Further more, although we are a family of 4 we wouldn’t fill up a normal size on daily basis, to be honest the Miele half load will be the feature we would use more.
I want to buy good appliances not because they will get used every day ( we rearly use the oven also because it’s too hot in Greece to be baking :)) but because I don’t want to change them every 5 years. And it’s nice to have a good feature when you need it with appliances. Also, like all the rest of the world, we appreciate good food and clean stuff 🙂
Normally I would look at Which? Best Buy and choose from there, but now, finding out about all this relabeling, I feel insecure, frustrated and angry :snig: feeling that Miele is the only option. My pocket though, not happy! 😛Re: Which build in oven, dishwasher, gas cooktop, suspended

BSH products are all made in their own factories scattered across Europe and one IIRC in Russia. So the build is controlled by themselves.
Miele in the main is made in Germany with some elsewhere in the EU but Miele being Miele do not give this info out. Same can be said when it comes to service information to the trade which means you are locked into Miele.
That said they are still the best out there.
